Gas cylinders - Self-closing cylinders valves - Specification and type testing (ISO/DIS 17879:2026)

ISO 17879:2017 specifies the design, type testing, marking and manufacturing tests and examinations requirements for self-closing cylinder valves intended to be fitted to refillable transportable gas cylinders which convey compressed, liquefied or dissolved gases. NOTE 1 The main applications for such self-closing cylinder valves are in the calibration gas and beverage industries. ISO 17879:2017 covers the function of a self-closing cylinder valve as a closure. NOTE 2 Requirements for standard cylinder valves are given in ISO 10297. Requirements for quick-release cylinder valves are given in ISO 17871. ISO 17879:2017 is not applicable to self-closing cylinder valves for cryogenic equipment, for portable fire extinguishers, or for liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). NOTE 3 Requirements for valves for cryogenic vessels are specified in ISO 21011 and at a regional level, for example, in EN 1626. Requirements for valves for portable fire extinguishers at a regional level are specified, for example, in EN 3 series. Requirements for self-closing LPG cylinder valves are specified in ISO 14245. NOTE 4 Additional requirements for pressure-relief devices might be specified in international/regional regulations/standards.

Earthworks - Geotechnical laboratory tests - Lime and/or hydraulic binder treated materials - Test for determining the treatment suitability of a soil

This document specifies a test method to determine the suitability of a soil to be treated with lime and/or hydraulic binders, with regard to volumetric swelling and mechanical strength, within a period not exceeding two to three weeks. This test can be integrated into the general method of a study of treatment of materials with lime and/or a hydraulic binder, in compliance with standard EN 16907 4. It is applicable to soils and alternative (or anthropogenic) materials treated with lime and/or hydraulic binders for the construction of embankments and capping layers; in the areas of roads, railways and airports; industrial or commercial platforms; hydraulic works and road foundations. The results of this test: — are only valid for the configuration tested (soil, treatment product, dosage); — are in no case usable for dimensioning a structure including treated materials. The values currently accepted to define treatment suitability are indicated for information in Annex A.

Granular waste materials, sludges, soil, soil-like materials and sediments - Leaching - Compliance test for leaching - Part 4: One-stage batch test a liquid-to-solid ratio of 10L/kg for materials with particle size below 10 mm (with or without size reduction)

This document in the series specifies a compliance test providing information on leaching of granular waste materials, sludges, soil, soil-like materials and sediments under the experimental conditions specified hereafter, and particularly a liquid to solid ratio of 10 L/kg dry matter. It applies to materials which have a particle size below 10 mm without or with size reduction. This document has been developed to investigate the leaching of inorganic and non-volatile organic substances from granular waste materials, sludges, soil, soil-like materials and sediments. It does not take into account the consequences of microbiological processes in organic degradable materials. The test procedure specified in this document produces an eluate which is subsequently characterized physically and chemically according to appropriate standard methods. This document includes two different procedures for eluate preparation prior to analysis, one procedure for non-volatile organic substances, inorganic substances and DOC and one for inorganic substances and DOC. When assessing only the leaching of inorganic substances and DOC, certain precautions needed when assessing the leaching of organic substances can in some cases be omitted. This procedure cannot be applied to materials with a water content or such a water affinity that a good mixing of the solid with the predetermined quantity of liquid is not achievable. This procedure does not apply to materials reacting with the leachant, leading, for example, to excessive gas emission, a solidifying effect or an excessive heat release. In that case, the material can be wetted prior to carrying out the leaching test. This test cannot be used alone to determine the leaching behaviour of granular waste materials, sludges, soil, soil-like materials and sediments, as specified in EN 12920. This document does not address issues related to health and safety.

This document in the series specifies a compliance test providing information on leaching of granular waste materials, sludges, soil, soil-like materials and sediments under the experimental conditions specified hereafter, and particularly a liquid to solid ratio of 2 L/kg dry matter in a first step and subsequently of 8 L/kg dry matter in a second step. It applies to materials which have a particle size below 4 mm without or with size reduction. This document has been developed to investigate the leaching of inorganic and non-volatile organic substances from granular waste materials, sludges, soil, soil-like materials and sediments. Health informatics - Dental patient summary (ISO/DIS 24292:2026)

This document outlines a core dataset designed for a concise dental data exchange intended to support continuity and coordination of care. It provides a conceptual framework for a dental data for exchange that can serve as the basis for implementation models. The content reflects an international perspective on organizing dental information for cross-border exchange. It offers guidance on the essential data elements that should be shared globally and proposes a standardized format for their representation. The document focuses on defining the structure of the data to be exchanged (“the what”) without prescribing the specific methods or technologies used for transmission (“the how”). It does not include guidance on operational workflows such as data entry, collection, summarization, or integration. Nor does it address the competencies required to perform those tasks. Furthermore, it is not intended as an implementation guide and does not cover the underlying technical infrastructure or the use of particular coding systems, data formats, or terminologies.
