ISO 15136-1:2009 provides requirements for the design, design verification and validation, manufacturing and data control, performance ratings, functional evaluation, repair, handling and storage of progressing cavity pumps for use in the petroleum and natural gas industry. ISO 15136-1:2009 is applicable to those products meeting the definition of progressing cavity pumps (PCP) included herein. Connections to the drive string and tubulars are not covered in ISO 15136-1:2009. ISO 15136-1:2009 establishes requirements for characterization and testing of stator elastomer material, design validation and functional evaluation and provides information for PCP elastomer selection and testing, installation, start-up and operation guidelines, equipment selection and application guidelines, functional specification form, used pump evaluation, drive string selection and use, repair and reconditioning procedures and auxiliary equipment. Equipment not covered by the requirements of ISO 15136-1:2009 includes bottom-drive systems except for the PCP components, drive-string components and auxiliary equipment such as tag bars, gas separators and torque anchors.

ISO 28300:2008 covers the normal and emergency vapour venting requirements for aboveground liquid petroleum or petroleum products storage tanks and aboveground and underground refrigerated storage tanks designed as atmospheric storage tanks or low-pressure storage tanks. Discussed in ISO 28300:2008 are the causes of overpressure and vacuum; determination of venting requirements; means of venting; selection, and installation of venting devices; and testing and marking of relief devices. ISO 28300:2008 is intended for tanks containing petroleum and petroleum products but it can also be applied to tanks containing other liquids; however, it is necessary to use sound engineering analysis and judgment whenever ISO 28300:2008 is applied to other liquids. ISO 28300:2008 does not apply to external floating-roof tanks.

This document specifies the requirements for the materials, design, fabrication, erection, testing and inspection of site built, vertical, cylindrical, flat bottomed, above ground, welded, steel tanks for the storage of liquids at ambient temperatures and above. It is concerned with the structural design of the basic tank structure and does not provide requirements for considering process design, operational issues, safety and firefighting facilities, in-service inspection, maintenance, or repair. This document is intended for use in conjunction with EN 1993-4-2 and so adheres the general principles and performance requirements for the structural design and serviceability limit states of those tank components. Specific requirements are addressed in EN 14015. It is applicable to: – closed-top tanks, with and without internal floating roofs; – open-top tanks, with and without floating roofs; – tanks for which: a) the design pressure is not greater than 60 mbar; b) the design internal negative pressure is not lower than 6,0 mbar; c) the design metal temperature is between –40 °C and +300 °C; d) the maximum design liquid level is not higher than the top of the cylindrical shell; e) the maximum allowable stress does not exceed 260 N/mm2. The limits of application of this document terminate at the following locations: – face of the first flange in a bolted flange connection; – first threaded joint on the pipe or coupling outside of the tank shell, roof or bottom; – first circumferential joint in a pipe not having a flange connection. This document does not apply to tanks where the product is refrigerated to maintain it as a liquid at atmospheric pressure.

For valves in the scope of the European legislation for pressure equipment, the sole use of an experimental method is only permitted when the maximum allowable pressure at room temperature, PS, multiplied by the DN-number is less than 3 000 bar. This document is used to supplement the tabulation method EN 12516-1:2014+A1:2018, and the calculation method EN 12516-2:2014+A1:2021 without limit.

ISO 21809-3:2016 specifies requirements for field joint coating of seamless or welded steel pipes for buried and submerged sections of pipeline transportation systems used in the petroleum, petrochemical and natural gas industries as defined in ISO 13623. This part of ISO 21809 specifies the qualification, application and testing of the corrosion protection coatings applied to steel surfaces left bare after the joining of pipes and fittings (components) by welding. ISO 21809-3:2016 defines and codifies in Table 1 the different types of field joint coatings for pipelines. ISO 21809-3:2016 does not address requirements for additional mechanical protection, for thermal insulation or for joint infills of concrete weight-coated pipes. NOTE Field joints of pipes and fittings coated in accordance with this part of ISO 21809 are considered suitable for further protection by means of cathodic protection.

This document contains technical safety requirements for the design, equipment and testing of brushless vehicle washing systems and vehicle washing systems with brushes for, indoor and outdoor operation, i.e. roll-over vehicle washing systems, vehicle washing tunnels, manually movable vehicle washing facilities. NOTE 1 Annex D covers the determination and control of Legionella and Pseudomonas aeruginosa concentration in stationary vehicle wash systems. Additionally, it can be applied to all vehicle washing systems that can form aerosols due to their cleaning systems. This document does not apply to hand-guided high pressure cleaners which are covered by EN 60335 2-79:2012, to water recycling systems, buildings and doors for entering the traffic zone, for powered ride-on machines and powered walk-behind machines with a traction drive. This document does not apply to bicycle cleaning systems. NOTE 2 Signals (example doors, lighting systems) can be provided by the vehicle washing system. This document contains requirements for the protection of persons and objects from accidents and damages during use and operation of vehicle washing systems. Persons to be protected are: - operators, - maintenance and monitoring personnel, - persons in the vicinity of vehicle washing systems, - persons sitting in the vehicle during cleaning. Objects to be protected are: - vehicles. Significant hazards associated with vehicle washing systems are listed in Clause 4. These hazards have been established by a risk assessment according to EN ISO 12100 and require measures to eliminate the hazard or to reduce the risk. These measures are specified in Clause 5 of this document. The safety requirements assume that vehicle washing systems are regularly maintained by trained and competent persons according to the manufacturer's information and that the operators, with the exception of users of self-service washing systems, have been instructed in the handling of vehicle washing systems.
