This European Standard describes the general requirements for flap valves used for dust explosion isolation. An explosion isolation flap valve is a protective system, which prevents a dust explosion from propagating via connecting pipes or ducts into other parts of apparatus or plant areas. An explosion isolation flap valve can only stop the propagation of a dust explosion when it propagates against the direction of the normal process flow. It does not stop explosions running in the normal process flow direction. This European Standard specifies methods for evaluating the efficacy of explosion isolation flap valves. This European Standard is applicable only to the use of explosion isolation flap valves that are intended for avoiding explosion propagation from a vessel, into other parts of the installation via connecting pipes or ducts. The standard covers isolation of such vessels that are protected by explosion venting (including flameless venting), explosion suppression or explosion resistant design. NOTE 1 The standard assumes that the explosion starts in a vessel and not in ducting. Explosion isolation flap valves are not designed to prevent the transmission of fire or burning powder transported by the normal process flow. NOTE 2 It is necessary to take this into account in risk assessments. This European Standard is only applicable for dust explosions. This European Standard is not applicable for explosions of materials listed below, or for mixtures containing some of those materials: a) gases, vapours and hybrid mixtures; b) chemically unstable substances; c) explosive substances; d) pyrotechnic substances.

This document specifies the dimensions, the method of sampling and the preparation of the test specimens, also the conditions for performing the low temperature tensile test perpendicular to the weld in order to determine the low temperature tensile welding factor. A low temperature tensile test can be used in conjunction with other tests (e.g. bend, tensile creep, macro) to assess the performance of welded assemblies, made from thermoplastics materials. The low temperature tensile welding factor and the appearance of the fracture surface provide a guide regarding the ductility of the joint and the quality of the work. The test is applicable to co-axial or co-planar welded assemblies made from thermoplastics materials filled or unfilled, but not reinforced, irrespective of the welding process used. The test is not applicable for co-axial welded assemblies of an external diameter less than 20 mm.

This document applies to side loaded refuse collection vehicle (RCV), as defined in 3.2, regardless of the power drive. This document deals with all significant hazards, hazardous situations and events relevant to the side loaded RCV, when it is used as intended and under conditions of misuse which are reasonably foreseeable, throughout its foreseeable lifetime, as defined in Clause 4. This document is applicable to the design and construction of the side loaded RCV so as to ensure that it is fit for its intended function and can be operated, cleaned (including unblocking), adjusted and maintained during its entire lifetime. It is not applicable to the end of life of the side loaded RCV. This document describes and defines the safety requirements of side loaded RCV excluding the interface with the lifting device(s) and excluding the lifting device itself and excluding loader cranes, which could be mounted on the RCV. Lifting device(s) including the loader cranes and the interface to the RCV are covered in EN 1501-5:202X. Loader cranes are covered in EN 12999:2020+A1:2025 and those installed on RCVs are covered in EN 1501-5:202X. This document also applies to compactors, operated on a truck for collecting purposes. This document is not applicable to: - operation in severe conditions, e.g. extreme environmental conditions such as: - below −20 °C and above +40 °C temperatures; - tropical environment; - wind velocity in excess of 75 km/h; - contaminating environment; - corrosive environment; - operation in potentially explosive atmospheres; - handling of loads the nature of which could lead to dangerous situations (e.g. hot refuses, acids and bases, radioactive materials, contaminated refuse, especially fragile loads, explosives); - operation on ships. ISO 27065 establishes minimum performance, classification, and marking requirements for protective clothing worn by operators handling pesticide products as well as re-entry workers. For the purpose of ISO 27065, the term pesticide applies to insecticides, herbicides, fungicides, and other substances applied in liquid form that are intended to prevent, destroy, repel, or reduce any pest or weeds in agricultural settings, green spaces, roadsides, etc. It does not include biocidal products used for agricultural and non-agricultural settings. Pesticide handling includes mixing and loading, application, and other activities such as cleaning contaminated equipment and containers. Concentrated pesticides are typically handled during mixing and loading. Protective clothing covered by ISO 27065includes, but is not limited to, shirts, jackets, trousers, coveralls, aprons, protective sleeves, caps/hats and other headwear (excluding hard hats made of rigid materials, e.g. hats worn by construction workers), and accessories used under knapsack/backpack sprayers. ISO 27065 does not address items used for the protection of the respiratory tract, hands, and feet. ISO 27065 does not address protection against fumigants.

This document specifies the safety requirements relevant to load-handling functions for rough-terrain variable reach tractors (RTVR tractors). This includes the safety requirements for their permanently mounted equipment (PME). Fork arms are considered to be part of the PME. RTVR tractors can also be equipped with a variety of attachments (e.g. bale spikes, mowers, sweepers). This document deals with all the significant hazards, hazardous situations and events relevant to the operation of the PME of RTVR tractors when they are used as intended and under conditions of misuse which are reasonably foreseeable by the manufacturer (see Annex A). This document does not apply to: - rough-terrain variable-reach trucks covered by EN 1459-1:2025; - slewing rough-terrain variable-reach trucks covered by EN 1459-2:2015+A1:2018; - industrial variable reach trucks covered by EN ISO 3691-2:2023; - lorry-mounted variable-reach trucks covered by ISO 20297-1:2017; - variable-reach trucks fitted with tilting or elevating operator position; - mobile cranes covered by EN 13000:2010+A1:2014; - machines designed primarily for earth moving, even if their buckets and blades are replaced with forks (see EN 474 series); - trucks designed primarily with variable length load suspension elements (e.g. chain, ropes) from which the load can swing freely in all directions; - trucks designed primarily for container handling; - trucks on tracks; - trucks with articulated chassis; - front loaders covered by EN 12525:2000+A2:2010; - attachments. Determination and declaration of sound power level is not addressed by this document. This document does not cover sales literature. This document does not address hazards linked to: - operation of the RTVR tractor from a position other than the normal operating position or the remote control; - hybrid power systems; - gas power systems; - gasoline engine systems; - battery power systems. This document does not address hazards which can occur: a) when handling suspended loads which can swing freely (additional requirements are given in EN 1459-4:2024+A1:2025); b) when using RTVR tractors on public roads; c) when operating in potentially explosive atmospheres (additional requirements are given in EN 1755:2024); d) when operating underground; e) when towing trailers; f) when fitted with a personnel work platform (additional requirements are given in EN 1459-3:2015 and EN 1459-9:2021); g) when using system capable of controlling the speed of the RTVR tractor as set by the operator (cruise-control). This document does not provide a method of calculation for fatigue and strength of material. This document is not applicable to RTVR tractors manufactured before the date of its publication.

This document defines the process, protective measures and demonstration of safety in accordance with prEN 50126-1:2017 and prEN 50126-2:2017 for AC and DC electric traction power supply systems for railways. This document can also be applied to urban rail and trolleybus systems. All these systems can be elevated, at-grade and underground. This document has two parts: This document supports the implementation of non-conventional applications, functions and properties in electric traction power supply systems that remain after the application of prEN 50562 1:2025. NOTE EN 50562 1 establishes the code of practice for conventional applications, functions and properties in electric traction power supply systems. This document applies to electric traction power supply systems, which are new or are undergoing major changes as defined in the legal framework. For similar technology and similar hazardous scenarios, the safety considerations can be used as a guideline. This document does not apply to: — underground mine traction systems, — cranes, transportable platforms and similar transportation equipment on rails, temporary structures (e.g. exhibition structures) in so far as these are not supplied directly or via transformers from the contact line system and are not endangered by the traction power supply system, — suspended cable cars, — funicular railways, — magnetic levitated systems, This document does not consider aspects like IT-security or protection against other malevolent acts etc. It is assumed that those aspects are handled on the overall system level. NOTE For railways IT-security is covered in CLC/TS 50701. Because of the short life cycles of IT-security applications it is advisable to separate IT-security functions from safety functions at least on virtual levels. E.g. the frequent patch processes for updating the IT-security applications is expected to be independent from Safety applications.

ISO 19008:2016 describes the standard cost coding system (SCCS) that classifies costs and quantities related to exploration, development, operation and removal of oil and gas production and processing facilities and to the petroleum, petrochemical and natural gas industry. Upstream, midstream, downstream and petrochemical business categories are included. The SCCS for coding of costs is applicable to: - cost estimating; - actual cost monitoring and reporting; - collection of final quantities and cost data; - standardized exchange of cost data among organizations; - implementation in cost systems. ISO 19008:2016 is intended for users such as the following: a) owner/operator/company (individual or grouped entity that is entitled or contributes to operations in the exploitation of oil and gas fields); b) industry/trade associations; c) manufacturers/contractors; d) cost engineering service contractors, cost system providers, benchmarking providers, etc.; e) authorities/regulatory bodies. ISO 19008:2016 does not apply to the following: 1) cost classification relevant to cost accounting rules, specific contractual agreements, local requirements for cost reporting to national bodies, government rules and tax regulations, authorization for expenditure (AFE), billing purposes etc.; 2) specific project breakdown structures (e.g. work breakdown structures, contract breakdown structures, organizational breakdown structure) or asset breakdowns (e.g. TAG/system codes, area/module breakdown structure) which are and will remain unique. However, this International Standard can provide a basis for the establishment of such specific classification systems.

ISO 14044 requires the goal and scope of an LCA to be clearly defined and be consistent with the intended application. Due to the iterative nature of LCA, it is possible that the LCA scope needs to be refined during the study. This document specifies methodologies that can be applied to determine the carbon footprint of a product (CFP) or partial CFP of a hydrogen product in line with ISO 14067. The goals and scopes of the methodologies correspond to either approach a) or b), given below, that ISO 14040:2006, A.2 gives as two possible approaches to LCA. a)    An approach that assigns elementary flows and potential environmental impacts to a specific product system, typically as an account of the history of the product. b)    An approach that studies the environmental consequences of possible (future) changes between alternative product systems. Approaches a) and b) have become known as attributional and consequential, respectively, with complementary information accessible in the ILCD handbook.[1] There are numerous pathways to produce hydrogen from various primary energy sources. This document describes the requirements and evaluation methods applied to several hydrogen production pathways of interest: electrolysis, steam methane reforming (with carbon capture and storage), co-production and coal gasification (with carbon capture and storage), auto-thermal reforming (with carbon capture and storage), hydrogen as a co-product in industrial applications and hydrogen from biomass waste as feedstock. This document also considers the GHG emissions due to the conditioning or conversion of hydrogen into different physical forms and chemical carriers: —    hydrogen liquefaction; —    production, transport and cracking of ammonia as a hydrogen carrier; —    hydrogenation, transport and dehydrogenation of liquid organic hydrogen carriers (LOHCs). This document considers the GHG emissions due to hydrogen and/or hydrogen carriers’ transport up to the consumption gate. It is possible that future revisions of this document will consider additional hydrogen production, conditioning, conversion and transport methods. This document applies to and includes every delivery along the supply chain up to the final delivery to the consumption gate (see Figure 2 in the Introduction). This document also provides additional information related to evaluation principles, system boundaries and expected reported metrics in the form of Annexes A to K, that are accessible via the online ISO portal (https://standards.iso.org/iso/ts/19870/ed-1/en).

This document applies to hearing aid fitting management (HAFM) services offered by hearing aid professionals (HAP) when providing benefit for their clients. The provision of hearing aids relies on the knowledge and practices of a hearing aid professional, to ensure the proper fitting and adequate service in the interest of the client with hearing loss. This document specifies general processes of HAFM from the client profile to the follow-up through administering, organising and controlling hearing aid fitting through all stages. It also specifies important preconditions such as education, facilities and systems that are required to ensure proper services. The focus of this document is the services offered to the majority of adult clients with hearing impairment. It is recognized that certain populations with hearing loss such as children, persons with other disabilities or persons with implantable devices can require services outside the scope of this document. This document generally applies to air conduction hearing aids and for the most part also to bone conduction devices. Hearing loss can be a consequence of serious medical conditions. Hearing aid professionals are not in a position to diagnose or treat such conditions. When assisting clients seeking hearing rehabilitation without prior medical examination, hearing aid professionals are expected to be observant of symptoms of such conditions and refer to proper medical care. Further to the main body of the document, which specifies the HAFM requirements and processes, several informative annexes are provided. Appropriate education of hearing aid professionals is vital for exercising HAFM. Annex A defines the competencies required for the HAFM processes. Annex B offers a recommended curriculum for the education of hearing aid professionals. Annex C is an example of an appropriate fitting room. Annex D gives guidance on the referral of clients for medical or other specialist examination and treatment. Annex E is a recommendation for important information to be exchanged with the client during the process of HAFM. Annex F is a comprehensive terminology list offering definitions of the most current terms related to HAFM. It is the intention that these annexes be helpful to those who wish to deliver HAFM of the highest quality.

This document covers the functional recommendations for design, construction, testing, commissioning, operation, maintenance and abandonment of underground gas storage (UGS) facilities in mined rock caverns up to and including the wellhead. This document specifies practices which are safe and environmentally acceptable. For necessary surface facilities for underground gas storage, EN 1918 5 applies. In this context, “gas” refers to flammable gas: — which is in a gaseous state at a temperature of 15 °C and under a pressure of 0,1 MPa (the stored product is also named fluid); — which meets specific quality requirements in order to maintain underground storage integrity, performance, environmental compatibility and fulfils contractual requirements. This comprises: — gas not in liquid phase under subsurface conditions; — methane-rich gases; — natural gas; — biomethane; — synthetic methane; — hydrogen of various purities; — any mixtures of the gases above; — hydrocarbon gas in liquid phase under subsurface conditions such as; — ethylene; — liquified petroleum gas (LPG). NOTE 1 Correspondingly the EN 1918 series can be considered where applicable for underground storage of any other fluid e.g. helium, carbon dioxide, compressed air, rDME (renewable dimethyl ether) and hydrogen transport fluids (such as ammonia and LOHC). Gases that are liquid in subsurface conditions are not considered in this document. This document is not intended to be applied retrospectively to existing facilities. NOTE 2 Correspondingly this document can be considered for major conversions in case of significant change of gas composition.
