Products which are — curved; — perforated (perforated faces); — used for stabilization purposes; — consisting of two or more clearly specified layers of different insulating core materials (multi-layered) or of different materials per face; — used as ceilings when fastening is under permanent tension load; — parts of clean room kits, conditioning room kits, cold storage room kits and cold storage building envelope and building kits; — reused; are excluded from this product definition. Products intended to be used for structural applications are excluded from this product definition.

ISO 16708:2006 specifies the functional requirements and principles for design, operation and re-qualification of pipelines in the petroleum and natural gas industries using reliability based limit state methods as permitted by ISO 13623. Reliability-based limit state methods provide a systematic way to predict pipeline safety in design and operation. ISO 16708:2006 supplements ISO 13623 and can be used in cases where ISO 13623 does not provide specific guidance and where limit states methods can be applied, such as, but not limited to - qualification of new concepts, e.g. when new technology is applied or for design scenarios where industry experience is limited, - re-qualification of the pipeline due to a changed design basis, such as service-life extension, which can include reduced uncertainties due to improved integrity monitoring and operational experience, - collapse under external pressure in deep water, - extreme loads, such as seismic loads (e.g. at a fault crossing), ice loads (e.g. by impact from ice keels), - situations where strain-based criteria can be appropriate. ISO 16708:2006 applies to rigid metallic pipelines on-land and offshore used in the petroleum and natural gas industries.

This document establishes general principles for the execution of soil treatment by deep vibration. The following types of treatment are covered by this document: - deep vibratory compaction to densify the ground as mentioned in EN 1997 3:2025, Annex I, Table I.1; - vibrated columns formed by inserted granular material laterally/radially compacted against the surrounding ground to form a stiff composite column-soil structure (vibrated compacted granular columns) as mentioned in EN 1997 3:2025, Annex I, Table I.2; - vibrated columns formed by inserted material developing unconfined compressive strength comprising a composite of binder and granular material (rigid columns) as mentioned in EN 1997 3:2025, Annex I, Table I.2. The following treatment methods are covered by this document: - methods in which depth vibrators, containing oscillating weights which cause horizontal vibrations, are inserted into the ground; - methods in which compaction probes are inserted into the ground using a vibrator, which remains above ground surface, and which oscillates in a vertical mode. Treatment methods are outlined in Annexes A, B, C and D. The following treatment methods, among others, are not included in this document: - dynamic compaction, dynamic replacement and other methods in which some form of treatment is applied to the ground surface; - uncompacted granular columns primarily used as drains; - explosive compaction.

ISO 8503-5:2017 describes a field method for measuring the surface profile produced by any of the abrasive blast-cleaning procedures given in ISO 8504-2. The method uses replica tape and a suitable gauge for measuring, on site, the roughness of a surface before the application of paint or another protective coating. The method is applicable within the range of profile heights cited for a given grade (or thickness) of replica tape. The commercial grades currently available permit measurement of average peak-to-valley profiles of 20 µm to 115 µm. The method is valid for surfaces that have been cleaned with abrasives.

This method determines extractable metals in leather; it is not compound-specific or specific to the oxidation state of the metals. This method is especially suitable for determining the extractable chromium in chromium-tanned leathers.

It specifies requirements for design, materials and testing of cylinder manifold systems for the supply of acetylene for use in welding, cutting and allied processes. ISO 14114:2017 applies to acetylene cylinder manifold systems in which acetylene single cylinders or acetylene bundles are coupled for collective gas withdrawal. NOTE National regulations exist regarding limitation of the amount of single cylinders/bundles of acetylene on a single location (e.g. in warehouse or connected to a manifold system). ISO 14114:2017 also covers a test procedure for decomposition blockers.

Devices can be standalone, integrated into a larger appliance or part of multi-staged treatment process. The document relates solely to the performance of the UV reactor.
